Victor Moses was taunted by his teammates after Davide Zappacosta’s goal against Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday night at the Stamford Bridge.
The Italian delivered an impressive display in his first start for the Blues and the Nigerian international was quickly reminded by the new signing performance by his teammates.
Chelsea manager decided to rest Moses and played Zappacoasta and the Italian never failed to impress the tactician with his outing in the 6-0 bashing of Champions league debutant at the Stamford Bridge.
And during the wild celebrations in the Chelsea dugout, David Luiz and Willy Caballero were seen joking with Moses, presumably telling him that his days on Conte’s right flank may be numbered after Zappacosta’s thunderbolt.
The Italy international has already taken the shine off the goal by admitting that his effort was a cross and after the game, Conte was keen to praise his summer signing from Torino.
‘He played a really good game, now he has to continue to improve,’ said the Chelsea boss.
‘He played very well, it was the first appearance for him at Stamford Bridge. The answer was very good.’
The Blues will now turn their attention to Premier League where they will face Arsenal on Sunday at the Stamford Bridge.
