#ThisShouldStop: SARS Officials harasses CEO of Basebaba.com in Lagos @basebaba1
Vex and hard response as Special Anti-Robbery Squad Officials(SARS) harasses Aderonmu Paul, best known as Basebaba, CEO of Basebaba.com in Lagos on accusation of being a Yahoo Boy.
The music blogger narrates story. Read below.
This happened on Friday, 26th May, 2017, around 12noon.
I was in Esado Hotel and Suites Alagbado Lagos, expecting my manager for an ongoing project when the SARS officials stormed the hotel claiming they are there to arrest marijuana smokers but started picking up everyone present. On getting to their station, they started checking my phone going through all the stuffs on my laptop for about 1hour and I was detained for 6 hours. When they couldn’t get anything on my Laptop and Phone they insisted I pay them a certain amount of money, which i did just get out of there.
So my question is, Is it a crime to own a Laptop? Or to use high tech phones. Despite the fact that the commissioner of police in Lagos addressed this same issue 3 days ago. So does this now means that SARS officials are not under control of the commissioner of police.
It high time the government and the general public come together and put an end to the menace (SARS) that is eating up the society.
