Thierry Henry believes that Marouane Fellaini is one of the few Manchester United players who always gives 100 per cent when called upon.
The Belgium midfielder has been a regular fixture in the first team since Jose Mourinho’s appointment at Manchester United as Louis van Gaal’s successor back in May 2016.
The 29-year-old made his first Premier League start of the season in the clash against Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
And Henry, who has worked with Fellaini at international level with Belgium, believes that you can always count on the midfielder to deliver when called upon.
Speaking onSky Sportson Sunday, Henry said: “What you have with Marouane Fellaini is that he will give you his best every single time.
“He’s an honest player. He’s not going to be Paul Scholes, we know that.
“[But] he gives 100 per cent and he does ever so well.”
Fellaini will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to League Cup action with a home clash against Burton in midweek.
The Red Devils will then turn their attentions back to Premier League affairs when they take on Southampton at St Mary’s next Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United won both the League Cup and Europa League in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge last season but finished sixth in the Premier League.
Mourinho’s men kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 3-0 win over Basel last week.
