It’s a fixture that often gives rise to classics in the Premier League. With such a rivalry built between the two clubs over the years, it’s certain to be a sell-out in the Transfer Tavern.
Liverpool have had a tough few weeks, whilst Man Utd have looked good recently, but as we all know, form goes out the window when the big boys come to town.
A win for Man Utd could put them in a commanding position ahead of a few of their rivals, and so it’s very important that the Red Devils get the three points.
For that to happen, though, Mourinho must get his team selection spot on, and that might mean making a few tough decisions.
With that said, Mourinho should drop these 2 Man Utd players against Liverpool – agreed?
Chris Smalling has had a mixed season so far.
He is a consistent player, and he’s often solid, but rarely does he pull off an outstanding performance, and that’s the difference between him and, say, Eric Bailly.
Mourinho will want his strongest defence to feature against the Reds, and unfortunately for Smalling, the Englishman probably doesn’t fall under that banner.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan started the season very well, but he has slowed down over the last few weeks.
Though he hasn’t been performing badly, unfortunately for him, some of his rivals have been simply sensational – and so he has fallen behind the leading pack.
Notably, both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford will be vying for a starting berth, and unfortunately, Mkhitaryan may have to step aside.
