Manchester United could be tempted in making a move for Wales international forward Gareth Bale this summer, according to the Express.
The Premier League side, who finished sixth in the top-flight standings last term, but lifted the UEFA Europa League and the EFL Cup, have been continuously linked with a mega-money swoop to bring back the Real Madrid winger to English football.
The 28-year-old, who has 66 international caps for his country, scored nine goals and provided five assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga champions last season.
However Bale, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in September 2013 following his reported £85.1m switch from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, could be offloaded by manager Zinedine Zidane as Madrid weigh up a world-record offer for AS Monaco superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The Welshman, who has netted 67 times in 150 games overall for the Spanish outfit, currently earns £350,000-a-week in the capital and is valued at around £100m.
