Current Premiere League Defending Chanpions Chelsea ran riot against West Brom at the Hawthorns with Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata at their brilliant best.
Hazard scored a brace while Morata scored his ninth goal for Chelsea before Marcos Alonso’s late strike.
And, speaking after the game, Conte insisted that Pulis makes West Brom a formidable team to face.
He said: “It was a good game. Last season we struggled twice against West Brom but we played really well.
“The game became easy but it wasn’t. From the start of the season there is a lot of pressure on us, never mind Tony Pulis. Every team has pressure. They are a good team and they can find the right solution.
“Tony Pulis is a really good manager with great experience. He was the manager of many teams and his team is very difficult to face, always.
“We performed very well. Morata and Hazard have a great link, they are now 100% fit, it is easy to forget that we started the season without Hazard.”
Meanwhile, Baggies boss Pulis said defensive mistakes cost his team dear.
“Our defending for all of the goals was really poor. We had opportunities but the defending today was very poor. Against the top teams you have to defend better than that,” he said.
“It leaves me in the position I was in before the game. The board of directors will decide what they have to do. I have been in this position before. It’s up to them. I feel for the players they have worked hard but they have made basic mistakes.
“I spoke to the owners yesterday, they ear really decent people. It’s not about them, it’s about what’s best for the football club. That is more important than anybody. It’s a decision they have to make. I’ll keep ploughing along if they want me to do.
“In any job, if it doesn’t go well, you will be under pressure. We have left a lot of points on the pitch this season.
“The supporters were fantastic today, they kept with the team. I got some stick but you expect that.”
