Conte should drop these 2 Chelsea players against Roma – agreed?

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were relieved when their side managed to dispatch of Bournemouth on Saturday. The Blues have had a tough month or so, but they appear to be finally turning a corner. They played fantastically at the weekend, and the fans in the pub are expecting more of the same going forward.

They’ve got a few tough games on the horizon, and whilst Antonio Conte will have one eye on Man Utd on Sunday, he’ll have to contend with a trip back to Italy to face Roma on Tuesday evening. The Italian side have impressed this term, and it won’t be easy for the Blues to secure a victory. That said, a win could push them even closer to securing a place in the last 16 of the Champions League, and so it’s essential that a good performance is forthcoming.

Given that this game is so important, Conte needs to make sure that he picks a strong side, and though the Blues won on Saturday, a few players could see themselves on the bench on Tuesday. Here are TWO players that Conte should drop against Roma – do you agree?

Tiemoue Bakayoko has had a decent start to life in England, and he’s surely going to get better as times goes on.

However, one big drawback in his game so far has been his rashness. All too often he tries to stick his foot in and it inevitably leads to freekicks in dangerous areas. With so much height and aerial dominance in the Roma team, this is something that Antonio Conte will be keen to avoid.

With N’Golo Kante potentially back in the fold, it might be time for his French partner to take a seat on the bench. He may be needed against Man Utd, and Conte will want the best form of Bakayoko to turn up against the Red Devils.

Alvaro Morata had a sensational start to his Chelsea career, but he’s struggled over the last few weeks. Against Bournemouth, he looked poor, and so Conte must consider dropping him.

Conversely, Michy Batshuayi has been desperate for a chance and he has looked good whenever he has played. Morata is likely to start against Man Utd, so perhaps his Belgian rival could do a job on Tuesday.

The Blues need goals, and Batshuayi provides them.
