Chelsea fans losing patience with Conte?
Chelsea fans seem to have about as much patience with managers as their trigger-happy owner Roman Abramovich, with Blues supporters now seeming to call for the head of Antonio Conte.
The Premier League champions slipped to a third game in a row without a win last night as they threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 3-3 at home with Roma in the Champions League.
Present at Stamford Bridge was former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, another Italian tactician who guided the club to Premier League glory in his first season in charge back in 2009/10.
Ancelotti is currently out of work after being sacked by Bayern Munich early on this season, and some nostalgic Blues fans clearly think he could be the man to come in and get the team back to the form it showed last season.
This seems incredibly harsh on Conte just months after he guided Chelsea to a convincing title win, but the nature of the modern game suggests the idea might not as crazy as it sounds, with managers’ stays at their clubs proving shorter and shorter all the time.
Still, with Ancelotti struggling to impress in his last job at Bayern, are Chelsea fans really right to be choosing him as the ideal choice to come in?
