CEASE AND DESIST TO KEMI OMOLOLU-OLUNYOLO WITH REGARD RUGGEDMAN
Lagos — 25th May, 2019
In response to statements made by Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo on social media and in several media outlets suggesting that our client, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, aka Ruggedman was inadvertently involved in events leading up to the arrest of Nigerian music artist popularly known as NairaMarley by the EFCC, K&C Partners as appointed by Ruggedman issued a request as follows;
- That Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo retract all statements made with regard our client Ruggedman and his alleged involvement in the NairaMarley affair.
- That Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo tender her unreserved apology for making such statements that were clearly engineered to cause a stir in the news to further her personal agenda.
- That Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo cease to make further statements in this regard.
To this end, Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo was served a letter stating these requests and she was granted 48hrs to take necessary action, failing which K&C Partners on behalf of our client Ruggedman are set to take any and all legal action.
As at the time of the Press Release, the 48hr notice was less than 10hrs away from its end and no response has been offered by Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo. Attached to this Press Release is the letter sent to Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo’s official email account, clearly
showing the time of delivery. Also attached is the Cease and Desist sent to Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo.
We remain committed to abiding by the law in all our dealings and are hopeful that this matter will be resolved amicably.
